I think you have a better chance of getting invited to the Royal wedding then you do becoming a truck driver. Not to be an ### really but 4 DUI's and you didn't learn after the first one. You should be in prison thank God you didn't kill anyone. I don't think their is even a bottom feeder outfit that could afford the insurance on you. Just my 2-cents and good luck, I guess.

You will NOT get a ministers permit.

    BTDT with a few drivers...............

Goof up 1 time, sure, go for it.

They will consider you habitual, and deny you.

    But, Good Luck to you.

Why you even want to drive up there is beyond reasoning !!

That's funny but No need to take wagers on shoes. I would not go to a royal wedding even if I got and invitation and a limo was sent to pick me up. No offense to canadians or the royal family.

I have only been to one packer game. I did not enjoy it. I went becasue my brother took me and my son as a gift. I prefer to watch the game at home in front of the tv.

It very obviously that you do not take direction or follow the rules to be a good truck driver. You didn't learn that you shouldn't drink and drive and now there's drivers here telling you their experiences about Canada and you refuse to listen. It doesn't matter to me or to the better companies on how long ago these DUI's were. The simple fact that you got 4 DUI's speaks volumes of either you can not stop drinking or you just don't play by the book.

I don't like people that drink and drive because you are trying to kill me with my load of gasoline. You have no right to endanger me or anyone else. You're classified as a habitual problem and you show no change in your behavior to convince me that you can become a good truck driver. You'll have to live with people like me and my observations for the rest of your workable life. I would suggest that you come across with a humble attitude and go from there. Someone with your record trying to take a great job away from someone that deserves it just ####y and delusional. Not until you have some provable evidence that you have changed will I ever think you'll become a good truck driver. Sure I think you can become a truck driver but a good one that could work in my line of work, any sensitive jobs, or any decent better paying jobs, no I don't think so. How would the newspaper read?, " A truck driver, hauling gasoline rolled his truck today causing death and injury, previously had 4 DUI's". Sorry.

    I'll take that bet.

I have been sober for more than 11 years. I do not have any desire or craving to consume alcohal. NONE. IF I don't drink (anymore), how can I possibly bet another DUI.

I can understand any sentiment expressed that feels that I won't be able to get a trucking job, or even be able to drive in Canada. That I can understand. But to say that I WILL get another DUI is........BS.

Whoa, I hardly know what to say here. I could write a book about how your attitude makes me feel. As someone who lost a loved one (a member of my IMMEDIATE family) to the "Dude, chill. I got this..." attitude of a drunk driver, I have to say that I hope you DON'T ever get a CDL. Ever. I'm not even going to apologize for that. Frankly, I'd rather you never drove an automobile again.

I've read every post in this thread and you've shown not a single ounce of humility. FOUR DUI's? How stupid does one person have to be to rack up FOUR? Would I trust that person with an 80,000 lb, quarter-million dollar truck and its cargo? Not. On. Your. Life. Hazmat? A million times no.

I don't know how old you are, or what state you're in. What I DO know is that at least one judge completely dropped the ball with you. As far as I'm concerned, you should have done time. Congratulations for being sober for 11 years as you claim, but don't expect me to believe in anything you say after showing the incredibly bad judgment it takes to get FOUR DUI's. I'm wondering... if you got caught four times, how many HUNDREDS of times have you driven drunk?

On top of everything else, I have a hard time believing that ANY insurance company would underwrite you for driving a truck. Joe's Insurance might, but any reputable insurance company should be keeping their distance from people like you. You can change your drinking habits to the point of kicking the habit, but judgment is something that doesn't change.

Lastly, how you could have an "excellent work history" with four DUI's is beyond me. I know I wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole and your application for employment with MY company would go straight into the round-file as soon as I read your driving history.

My $.02... If you think it's harsh, get over it. Getting over MY loss will take the rest of my life, and someone just like you took from me that which could NEVER be replaced.

    Makes me sick.
