i have had mine for a year now and i love it but sometimes i wonder weather it was worth $400 or not. Mine has lots of problems i was calling cobra and was talking to a rep but they stop taking my calls there is alot of roads out there that have been done for several years that is not in the cobra that you would think that they would be. I use mine everyday but i still check the map because the cobra is not full proof. I am hoping that with the new software update that is to come out in march will help.

hey Brian what do you mean the next few month a few posts back you said it would be February It was last February when we got the last map update
this is unacceptable it should be at least 2 updates a year
as the other gentleman said theres alot of roads that are not in the database this thing is so outdated how can we trust it
we are buying 3 more trucks soon and was going to put cobra gps in them
but after having mine for a year now and seeing how outdated it is iam now looking at the Rand McNally TND 700 unless cobra can remember customer service is #1 -
thats what i meent by wheather it is worth $400 i mean that is alot of money to me and it really aggervates you when it does not show the road right that has been done for several years my last update that i got in the mail did not help that much so i have my douts

The Jonestown terminal for Swift is on SR72 in PA. The street doesn't show on my Cobra! Been there for years!

I have inquired with our engineers, and they plan to release another map update sometime next month. It is not unusual for them to encounter some kind of unexpected delay, so to be safe I am projecting April.
BrianDieselboss Thanks this. -
Mine locked up twice in Chicago this morning. Twice on 294 going East. Once I noticed it just before the Ogden Ave exit.
Also when going to the 80 split from 294 it gives you no advance warning to get on 80 before the toll booth. I was on the wrong side off the wall in the Prepass lanes. She was too busy telling me to stay left on I-294That crap is totally annoying! Everytime there is a major intersection coming up.
Also she routed me to a 5 ton load limit road to turn around (according to her!)
Then there was me cruising North on I-49 in Alexandria LA and get a warning of a 12ft under pass!
And I had problems with the 48ft length in another NC town. Details later on those 2. -
mine stopped telling me about every major intersection once you call cobra and they send you the cd with the updates for your model # on your gps It still does it every now and then I believe you can't just punch in where you want to go and it will tell you exactlly how to get there I still look at my map but for $400 you would think that it would and cobra advertises that they are the best out there unless if that is false advertising!?!?

Updates like yours should be general releases on there web page since they know of the problem and it probably effects every unit out there
If cobra knows and have updates for problems they should be listed on there support page without us having to phone them to get them
( cobra support is really starting to SUCK )
