National Truck Protection is a good warranty in my opinion.

No. They no longer require haz-mat. But if you choose to try your hand at the UPS contract we get in November of every year, you will need your double endorsement.

TWIC card is still required I believe.

    I have no endorsements.....

I can't answer the question about pulling doubles.... I was going to get my doubles last winter to do the FedEx contract. But our Cincy agent never called me back to confirm that I had the contract..... So I never went to get it.

Did you ever figure out what your "Rough" cost per mile would be?

Sorry about the ###### phone service this evening... I was going over Cabbage & Baker.... I finally just gave up & shut the #### phone off.

I'm going to bed now... Tomorrow might be a scetchy day with my phone signal.... I'll be in Wyoming sometime!

that haz mat comes in handy at mercer....we haul it several times a year...beats doing nothing...it can make the difference in setting at say Ontario with 200 other Mercers planning the weekend BBQ :biggrin_2556:or being the only one to pull out of there with a load.........:yes2557:

is it really that helpful? I've already forgotten how to placard the trailer and where not to go with it - besides tunnels.

I regularly haul hazmat for the Philly agent. Many roofing material loads will have a pallet or two of adhesive that needs placards.

from what I saw on UPS loads last year I wasn't impressed. The ones I saw were all for a week long commitment, I know you can be set up on them for the season and maybe those pay better. I didn't bother with them, a week of dealing with UPS for cheap rates was not very appealling.

Hey Redd, where you headed to coming through Wyoming? I'm in Nebraska now, heading to Ft Collins and Denver for Monday, then Salt Lake after that. Maybe we'll cross paths?
