I-55 Auto/Truck Plaza - Bolingbrook IL

That has been the problem for years in metro area's--return of profit for amount of land vs. land cost--just doesn't justify a T/S--look @what can be done w/50+acres in an area like that--lost alot of good truckstops(mostly mom/pop--over the years nationwide--this T/s was an orange ball for years along w/the one on 94--just north of 80 split(across from truckomat) funny thing is that other ball was closed during T/A merger and the land is just sitting there. Go figure?

Have not been in there for quite awhile.Last time in there looked like someone carpet bombed the parking area.

 

I was just by there the other day for a meal, hamburger aint bad and it appears another round of parking lot carpet bombing has occurred.

 

some of those holes in the lot,if you look close you can see the exhaust stacks of a truck just slightly poking out

 

This place needs to be re-modeled. Probably the worst truck stop I've ever seen.

 

I detest that place. I would always find a spot across the 55 on the street and walk to get food.

 

I'm parked here right now. The last time I parked here was in 1999 and from what I can tell, its about the same, lol. In fact the last time I parked here was when I scaled out over gross and Stevens night dispatch suggested I get rid of some fuel to reduce my. 2000 lbs over. Uh yeah.....

 

I debated parking there tonight. Had a delivery on crosswinds and almost made the turn in there to park. But then I remembered that I am too cheap to pay to park unless its an absolute last resort so I drove to tomorrow's pickup and am camped out there
