A friend's step father drives for them. I know there have been weeks were his pay checks were small. That being said....he is in the lease purchase program (stay away from those) and I don't know what his driving habits are. He may be one of those that sits (his chose) than drive.

Well, I finally got to talk to some O&S drivers, found out that they seem to be as good as about anyone who takes trainees but they are a small enough company that things are somewhat more personal.
Ill be starting with them this month, their initial compensation is about what everyone esles is. Their training program is a six week/ 9500 mile min. program. the first couple weeks (give or take a day or two will be inside the city limits of spfld, Mo. Moving trailers, hook, unhook, just local day to day "work" stuff. Then out on the road for the 9500 miles. Now, its my understanding the the 9500 is "minimum" and I guess it depends on your progress and your trainers report.
Initially Ill have a three day orientation which will consist of two days of medical tests and a driving test----I guess to tell if Im good enough to fool with at all!
Anyway, they seem as fair as any Ive found and Im looking forward to getting started with them. Hopefully in a few months Ill be able to post some good reports about my experiences.
Their fleet is all late model freightliners, most are centurys, detroit diesels, 10 speeds, condos, double berths.

Well? I'll revive an old post to ask the OP which has 2 O&S threads going how everything is going? I think he was one of the first to fall for the training and fleece program at O&S as the rule there was 3 years experience or no job! They had to go to this program to get trucks leased!
