changed to synthetic

rotella dino in 5 gallon buckets.. isnt dino rotella also called t3 or is that my imagination? i need sleep tractor supply and wal mart both typically have one bucket or two on the oil aisle but theyve always got more in the backroom. youll need to get one of those pumps tho theyre $30 at TS.. Home every night? You lucky dawg what do you pull a hopper bottom? dont you just hate it when the diesel bears set up on i565 and target all the overweight and sometimes shoddy trucks pulling hoppers lol

 

Heads up!! Mobil Delvac is now $9.87 a gallon at wal mart. Rotella dino has already went up from $11.50 to $12.50 a gal. I just saw that last night it burned me up I just bought 4 buckets of rotella and realized I could have gotten delvac in gallon jugs for cheaper if I had waited oh well it'll all be $20.00 a gallon in a year or so anyways...

 

you guys r lucky, here in OZ we pay between $100au and $130au for 20 litres (5gallons) of dino oil. even DELO 400 is $100au for 20 litres which works out to be $20au a gallon.

 

Are any of you guys seeing an increase in your fuel mileage?

 

You might look up your local Schaeffers dealer, and strike up a deal with them. I buy oil by the drum, and have it delivered to the guys who do my oil changes. I also buy their condensed fuel treatment/winterise which is way WAY cheaper than the truck stops are selling Howes for.

Schaeffers sells a blend, and they also have full synthetic if you decide to step up to the next level.

I also run their grease on my 5th wheel. I think its their number 238, comes with an extra tackifier agent, and really sticks good to the 5th wheel.

One thing I have noticed of all synthetics, if you have a leaky motor. Synethics will find that hole and come right out lol.
