HELLOOOOOOOOO everyone! My name is Lance. I live in PA. I graduated driving school with a class A CDL in 2007. I stayed a salesman till about 4 weeks ago. I have my first driving job. It with a local company that manufactures wooden REELS for the steel mills around pittsburgh. I drive a MAC tractor(daycab) and haul around a 53' van trailer. I am filling out logs and am working 2-3 days a week. Driving around 450 miles a day when I work. Does this count as experience for another company down the road? I will appreciate all the help I can get on this matter.
Lance
A big HELLO to everyone!

Welcome, it will count after a couple of years, for local driving but from what I know, most OTR company's want OTR experience before you get hired with them.

Hey Lance,
Are you saying you got your Class A back in 2007 and you are just now driving?
How did you swing this job without a refresher? I got my Class A in 2009, and I still
work in IT. I'm convinced I won't get into driving (down the road) without a refresher. Is the company owned by a family member?
Thanks! -
