I got a call from Link America to a driving position. Which is for the SE region and they will pay me .40 cpm. All drop and hook, well 95% of it. Hauling for certain companies like Home depot, General Dollar and several other places.

I have been seeing their ads posted on craigslist for SE regional. Might not be a bad gig. I personally haven't heard much about them, good or bad. Give it a shot if it sounds like something that might mesh with your needs. Good luck!

I didn't see the writing on the wall with LinkAmerica till it was too late. I was needing time off to recuperate from running hard and on mixed schedules (ie day-night-day-night-day-night). I asked disp if I could take time off. Long story short, they said no, and I ended up in an accident b ecause of fatigue---hit me w/o warning. Now I got this on my record! Of course they fired me over it! That's not all! Oh and they never bothered to notify me I was canned...had to find that out from a third party who read me their response. Just this week, they call me with a recorded WELCOME ABOARD phone call, welcoming me to go to work for them! How does that strike ya??:biggrin_25513:

Who did Link most recently buy? I swear I was running up I-57 when I passed a Link trailer but the cab was different. MTS or something?

Oh and if you live in Texas and want to run TX and OK, I think Lane is their company to work for. If I remember correctly they also pull 57's but only in TX and OK.

My old dispatcher was telling me he was planning on quitting. I wonder if he ever did.

i terminated my employment at my choice on 4-18-11, they posted payroll online and was large check. called payroll to see if it was gonna be direct deposited or mailed, they said dd. now they are telling me they are charging back cash advance from orientation, physical cost, drug test cost, and cost of returning truck back to ft. worth like i was told. handbook says they will be chargedback if you terminate before 90 days. i made my 90 days. this is a ########### MF ####### screw the driver company. i would advise a driver to say far away from this co

I live in the Tampa FL area and I'm starting to look for a regional/OTR company. I have 25 yrs exp so I'm looking for a fairly comfortable fit. most OTR companies will make it a real challenge to move forward in this business because there priority is to make big bucks. some realize the way to the big bucks is to at least work with a good driver. I see many Link America trucks along I-75 and find most of them dirty and run down. I have to ask myself If that's what I can see well what do you think the DOT man is thinking. That is very important because with CSA 2010 here to stay well when you get that DOT pull around its all on you (points) driving is your business and points added to your PSP will put you out of the business at some point so is working for a company that will cut corners on the trucks really worth it? Not to me so based on what I see on the road is enough to steer me clear of Link, just my thoughts...

They just got hit with a Conditional safety rating. I have a buddy who drives for them out of their Lakeland, FL terminal (old Gene Hyde Trucking) and he said that drivers and employees are jumping off ship like rats right now. He said it does not look good for him.
