I started smoking very early in life and actually quit for 12yrs once but then some severe stress got me going again...Since driving I found myself smoking more than usual, I'm sure from not having much to do and losing track of time but have always wanted to quit again...Tonight I tried one of those electric cigarettes and found they are totally acceptable to me...I may still be smoking, well, vaporing, but I may also cut out the 2000+ chemicals(and stench) contained in cigarettes...Hopefully this will lead to not smoking at all but at least for now, I'll be nicotine and tar free!

And the menthol tastes very minty!!!!!!

For those that want to at least escape the harmful effects, try one of the electric ones, it may work for you too!!!!!

The ingredients in the vapor are also found in antifreeze. My last inside employer wouldn't allow them, do to that.

Probably the hardest thing I've ever done was quit smoking. It's been almost a year and a half for me. What finally got me to quit and stick with it was catching my then 13 year old with cigarettes. I was the same age when I started. I used the patch. Unfortunately I started using SNUS...

As have others, quitting smoking was one of the most difficult things I have done and it resulted in a divorce, although I admit there may have been other factors that contributed to the latter.
If I may offer a tip that was of help to me, when you get an urge to have a smoke, find something to do to occupy your hands (and mind) for 3, 4 or 5 minutes.
That urge will pass in 2 or 3 minutes and won't come back for 10 or 15 minutes.
I know this will not work for many, but it was of a great help for me.
To stop smoking is a lot of work for most, I applaud anyone anyone who is successful or even makes an attempt.
I have not smoked for some time now but I still get that urge every once in a while so don't give up on it.
    Good Luck.

H2o is also found in antifreeze. I quit cigarettes 9 mos ago with the help of electronic ones. Before I started them I did alot of reading and found that there is nothing in e-cigs that has been proven to be worse than smoking and they really are better for you. My health greatly improved and my lungs are clear .

E-cigs may not be for everyone, but they are a great improvement over smoking. And kudos to anyone who can give up cancer sticks, no matter how the achieve that.

Chantix is not a good thing. It may help people quit smoking, but it has some very nasty potential side effects. The DOT and FAA don't allow it's use anymore.
