Well, just shot myself in the foot. Am at my final, and of course, these clowns can't be bothered with giving their drvr's all info pertinant to doing their job, like this place is closed on Sundays. If I had known that, would have dropped this tlr in out yard in Rockwall, hunted up a Verizon store and replaced my SIM card and would have gone by a Lowe's or Home Depot and got a new cable for my tv!!!!

Can be sure, that from now on, I WILL ask questions if needed!!!!

 

i have sprint. the marketplace should be the same no matter what carrier you have.

stay away from the iphone. apple is really clamping down on that device as they want as much royalties as they can collect. you're going to be very lucky to find ANY free apps. and it lacks of lot of features my phone has. the reviews were also out that it's way slower then ATT when it comes to the internet. if the battery goes out. it's non replaceable and has to be sent in for repairs. it is also tough to hack.

if you want 16 or 32 gigs of music. a 16 gig memory card is only $25 online. $60 for a 32 gig memory card. i've got so many cool gps programs on my phone now. that i've already passed the 8gig card that came with my phone. and there's another program that looks like the bomb that is soon to be released for free. so i just ordered a 32 gig card.

my phone will soon have everything the 32 gig iphone has and more for less money.

DROID BABY. there really is no other.

i haven't looked at that TIKL program. i just found it and downloaded. i've got 2 PTT apps on my phone now. but no one to use them with so i have no idea how they work.

Cydia app store loads onto the phone when it's jailbroken, you can download apps that apple won't take, and LOTS AND LOTS of themes, and fonts, and other tweaks, some pay but most free.

Iphone does not have to be sent for repairs, as long it in warrenty you simply take to an apple store and they exchange it no questions asked

As for mine, I have an AT&T Iphone3GS, 32 gig, jailbroken with Greenpois0n, unlocked with (which I didn't need unlocking, but oh well it was easy too, loaded as an app from Cydia) ultrasn0w, installous to install any app from the official iphone app store for free, and PDANET for hotspot. I can even do Facetime on 3g, only thing my phone doesn't have is a front facing camera, but I know how to hack one together using a cable and lens from a old digital camera.
I can even make my own ringtones right on my phone.

In fact I am on PDANET hotspot right typing this.

Yes AT&T does lock the thing down, but jailbreaking is SO SO SO Easy there is no reason not to

yes i knew that. and it's also possible to install iphone on droid. also windows and linux. LOL. but doing that on droid has been a learning experience so far.

forgot about the whole poison thing. what's the process involved in that. my cousin just got the V iphone and i might break it for her. is there any backing up to do and all that other fun stuff.

is pdanet the only hotspot program? what's the cost?

never heard anything about the swap out. just see a lot of posts that the phone has to be sent in for new battery.

 

Where did you find a 32g for $60? I have been looking all over the place and the cheapest I found was at the Verizon Store for $100
