I believe these companies make these new drivers trainers as the older drivers don't want anything to do with it. The company i am with will only let you be a trainer if you have 5 yrs exp.& have mountain exp. as well.

Whispers,
I am not a member of OOIDA and I am not an Owner/Operator. How do I reach their website? Will they still assist me even though I am not a member?
Thanks for the tip and suggestion!

You're in a bind, sure, but there is a silver lining. You are now "unemployable" in your profession, meaning you qualify for certain employment grants for retraining. Check your local labor office and community college.
I know Las Vegas has a school that trains people to drive dozers and such. Check 'em out. They wouldn't care what your DAC looks like, and you'll get paid more driving a D10 than you will driving a super 10. Check on grants and such to pay for it, too. Don't go footing your own money for any more training. Go learn to do something else and forget about truck driving. You're wasting a lot of energy worrying about this situation. Take it from a guy who knows--trucking's not worth worrying about. There are lots of things out there you can learn to do, and some government agency will pay for it. You don't NEED trucking, no matter what anyone whispers in your ear.
Good luck.
