Schneider is Awesome

They called me yesterday and I told them I would not be working with them. I went and got a local job driving Dump Trucks. Pays more and I'm home with my Sons. They like the idea more and so do I. One guy I went to school with went out for training with a guy and they had a run to New Mexico where the trainer decided he was going to stay for a while and the student had to catch a bus back to VA. I aint going through that LOL! I think local is going to be better for me out the gate.

 

It's funny cause the company I went to asked me about my experience, I told him I was a student fresh out. He kinda got this look on his face and said Students never pass their road test. I passed it and they hired me.

 

Hilarious! Almost choked to death on my cornflakes laughing on that line. I hope you don't mind if I borrow it sometime.

I like it here most days. Other days I question my sanity.

 

Na, my TE aint correct, cause when you hurt someone or maybe even kill them, your TE won't be charged with it, you will, and when you are, take the jail time, and the lawsuit the same way you took the speeding, with a grain of salt. But all in all, I don't even care anymore, cause like I said I got a local gig, and it's paying more to start out with so yall go ahead do your speeding thang. See how long it will take for the luck to run out.

 

OTR jobs are not for everyone. That's why the turn-over is so extreme. Fortunately you realized that you are not cut out for it early and saved yourself the embarrassment. So, I'm happy for you.

 

You said it. I'm not cut out for it in so many ways, being home was not an issue; however, with everything those OTR guys put up with home would have became an issue.

 

I drive for Schneider their really not bad ,yea some of the dispatchers will get you home when you want, others will harass you and cut your miles, I was told by other Schneider drivers when I started that the longer your there the worse they treat you, thought it was just those drivers, but now that i have experienced that, it is true. not getting enough miles to get an advance on my com data but they still keep hiring, probably just me ,they arn,t bad people just people

 

Dysharts does not hire newbys they are a very good company by all accounts
