Watch the video I posted, it shows the whole process. Basically you back the phone up with itunes first, close itunes down. Start the green poison app on your computer, power off the phone. turn it back on, hold the power button for 3 seconds, then without releaseing power hold the home button for 12 seconds, then release power keep holding home until the phone boots, this puts the phone in what's known as DFU mode.
Then on the GP app on the computer hit JAILBREAK now, it does the rest of the work for you, takes all of 5 minutes
No PDAnet is not the only hotspot app, but it was the one I have used the longest and found a cracked version that works good that I didn't pay for. -
My PDA net was $15.00 one time fee and so worth it, the wifi card is being cancelled save $65.00 there a month
JimBob24 Thanks this. -
My son is hesitating to "jailbreak" because he has been told that if there are updates that would come back to haunt him. Can you restore factory defaults by rebooting?
Thanks,
It is hard to find geeks that know this stuff in the trucking world. Heck it is hard anywhere because the technology morphs so quickly and there does not seem to be a standard yet. Reminds me of Beta vs VHS, IBM vs Apple, Intel vs Motorola etc DOS vs Windows etc, etc etc. Usually the best product doesn't win on quality, but shear marketing. -
If you jailbreak just hold off on doing updates to the iphone software, you can update the apps, but when itunes tells you there is a new version of the iphone software hold off. That way it takes the developers time to create a jailbreak that will work with the new software.
If you go into itunes and do a restore it reloads the phone to factory settings and your jailbreak goes away, like it never even happenedJimBob24 Thanks this. -

what we need is some type of program that can video chat. sprint droids come with QIK. i hear the latest apple comes with facetiime. i don't see facetime for droid and don't know if qik is available for iphone.
A-I-N, I got my card from tigerdirect.com. seems a lot of people i know use that sight. since there's no more parts stores around here. so they are trusted. but i WAS directed to them off pricewatch. i've ordered a lot of parts from strangers and haven't had a problem yet for being ripped off. (((knock on wood))) -
