As long as all your wiring is in good shape, it's most likely a dead spot on your starter solenoid. I had the main battery cable corrode off by the starter once. The heat shrink held it in place and was quite hard to find!!

    Good luck!

It could be a loose ground wire on the starter.

Firewall solenoid or starter, I would change both.

Mine started doing that. Sometimes you get in and turn the key and nothing. Jiggle the key and hit it and it starts. It's the ignition switch most likely. I keep a spare just in case it gives up completely.

check the big main stud on the starter where the battery cables attach...the nut tends to loosen

Mine was doing the same thing, I checked the relay in the battery box and it switching fine with the key ('06 W900L C15). Replaced the starter and it still did it. Ended up being the "signal" wire from the relay to the starter solenoid has a quick disconnect (signal wire harness) about 2' away from the starter. Wires were pulled tight when installed at the factory which pulled it apart just enough that it would sometimes not make contact. I could hear the relay clicking when I turned the key, if yours isn't doing anything it's probably not your problem.
