Just a quick update... Writer's Cramp is wearing off from filling out all the paperwork... and I actually MET my trainer this morning... he was heading past the Pittston Term this morning so he figured he'd just stop in & say hi rather than just call me.... he's headed to MA then back to PA to pick me up tomorrow evening.

Seems like a real great guy to roll with... I think we'll get along real well... we stood around BSing for about a half-hour... The look on his face was priceless at one point... he asked how often I might need to get home during my training period... to which I replied.... "I don't"....

nothing wrong with that at all......when I first started that's what I did too......it helped get the feet wet in a more laid back way:yes2557:

That's Prime-speak for being detailed to local WalMart delivery runs. Been there, done that in Lewiston myself.

I hate Walmart Loads. I am on one right now going to Arcadia,FL. I always have to sit and wait. They only let you in 1 hour before your appointment. So now I have to wait 9 hours to deliver.....

Its their scheduling software that generates the appointments - they do that to make the freight movement within their warehouse more efficient due to the volume that they handle. This is a little different... quite frequently the next load we're scheduled on in the Lewiston area after going empty there is a store delivery load pulling a Walmart branded trailer, with the final destination being the DC.

Well... we did our Wally World time & got out of Dodge.

Been runnin' good.... we actually got to Lewiston before 8AM so we could just drop it... wife met us for breakfast in Lewiston before we went back & grabbed our dedicated for MA & CT... then to Boston for a load of fish for a 2 stopper in SC... then a run from SC to Chicago unload/load in Chicago bound for Flagstaff AZ.

Finally taking a bit of a break in Flagstaff at the Little America before we head down tonight to Phoenix delivering in Denver tomorrow night.

I got real lucky trainer-wise... great guy & really showing me all the ins & outs... now if I can just get the timing down a little better on this d*mn 10-speed I'll be all set

    The Challenger Thanks this.
