So I'm trying this way out to see how the mileage goes.

This is one hoppin company that I and the wife have noticed. The only break i got was my 10 hr off :D

Thats the way it goes if you want to work. I've been here 1 yr and probably 99% of the While they guarantee u home every weekend, I generally work every other one for the extra miles. A good week with weekend off, I avg about 2200. Working the weekend I have made close to 3200 a couple times.

WElP i'm here again with another report. Still doing very well except fpr today. I got loaded from P&G near Scranton Pa Tues night.
Slept in this little mud hole of a truck stop. Got up at 530am to see snow on the ground :D.
Couldnt even move, but after 15 min of rocking finally got free. Trucking on down I-81 with a load of diapers. My Alternator light and buzzer starts going off.
GREAT I said, So i pulled into Fliner dealer in Hagerstown MD. Get into the shop quickly and they tell me i need a Alternator(which I allready knew hehe)
But guess what, they didnt have one. Have to get it from NJ. So here i am in a really nice Hotel.
Ramada plaza, if u ever spend the weekend at the Pilot u've got to stay here. Big screen tv and king size bed, all for 54$ SWEET

Told wife i was staying here all weekend LMAO. She didnt think that was funny. :biggrin_2559:

Will get another report soon. Take care

Ok, Im convinced. I just got a callback, less than 12 hours from when I put my application in. I have been reading about this company and it seems like they are decent enough. One question. I was on a regional account with a previous company that offered "weekends home" But that essentially meant, leave Monday, return home by Saturday afternoon, off Sunday, and back in the truck ready to run on Monday morning at 8 am. Do they actually give you the weekend, or is it a 34 hour restart?

It just depends on how your loads fall. I have gotten home on friday and not needed to leave untill sun night or even mon a.m., and there have been wkends Ive not made it home till sat a.m. and needed to leave sun night. Generally you go home under a load that will deliver on monday. Only once that I remember did I ever have to make a sunday delivery. They are very good about getting you home for Drs. appts etc. too. Just try to make your appointments on mondays and let dispatch know a week or two ahead of time. Fridays can work too, but it's always much easier to get you home on mondays since youre already there!
Also, if your like me and prefer to work every other weekend for the xtra cash, thats never a problem either. Thye will run you as long as you have the hrs! I have gotten as much as 3300 miles on weeks that I work thru the weekend.

Charliewayne, yes. I applied and they called me back the next morning. The recruiter says that as long as everything from previous employers comes back clean that I am set. Orientation expectation date is the 7th.
