I used the Chantix and it did work, but I had the most wild, wicked dreams while taking it. I quit taking it, and started smoking again. I've been looking into the e-Cigs.

I used the Chantix,,,,get this, 3 times or maybe 4...LOL
Anyway, I smoked my first cigg when I was the rype old age of 7, yep 7. I really started full time about the age of 15, asked my dad if it was ok,,,he gave me a carton :( My father died of cancer in 96 and that gave me some motivation to quit. I waited of course until my 30th birthday, or shortly after :) which was March 1998 :) My smoke free lasted 6.5 yrs with the help of "welbutren", a drug used for ADD and many other things. I joined the Army in 2003, graduated basic in june 2004, deployment training 5 days later and in 3 months I was back on the ciggs. Since then I have quit 3 times, this last one lasting 5mo's. The last 3 times I used Chantix, what got me back on ciggs was being around people, all the time, that smoked. I now live pretty much on the road, except for the couple day every 4 to 6 weeks that I have to go home for Drill. Just being around my wife and kids that smoke makes me start thinking about it. At anyrate, Chantix was/is the only thing that works for me. I am weak minded and need a drug like Chantix. I never felt anything from the drug and feel that not taking it was more dangerous than taking it. I have no plans on returning to ciggs as I know they will kill me and I pray by me quitting, that will give my kids motivation to quit as well. If fact, my son allready has...thank the Lord.

I wish everyone the best in their endeavor to quit the hardest habbit, next to Meth and heroin, there is in this world,,,that is definetly not good in any way for you or anyone around you...just sayin..

I have been smoking for 19 years. I quit once for a year then went to Korea and started again. I am trying to quit again.... Been taking Chantix for just over 2 weeks now and I have not touched a cig in 9 days..... So we will see what happens.

Rerun,,I remember seeting the news report about that kid,,,I couldn't believe he was the age they were saying he was at the time.. You know what,,he is a kid, let him cry,,,that is all he knows to do to get his way. Our kids will do the same, if we let them. I raised 5 kids, I know what I am talking about there...LOL
