i am not sure if the DAC office are located in the original build they once were in, since they have been bought out a couple of times, but from my memory, the "old" DAC offices had bullet proof glass in the reception area and you couldn't just walk in, for the very same reasons you mentioned...it DID happen, people WERE threatened, and the place went into a sort of "lock down" ever since then...but again, i do not know if they are in the same building anymore.....

This statement is very telling. With this sentence alone, you indicate there was something and you are not an entirely innocent party. Well, you're done trying to convince me, so you might as well out with it if for no other purpose than to satisfy my nosiness.

There is nothing telling at all about that statement and I have no interest at all in trying to convince you of anything. It is what it is. There are a few completely false marks from that company on the report. Thats all there is to it. I said what I did because it would be nice to see it come off quickly and easily. Some of you truckers just have it all figured out and know it all about everyone.

Sorry if you feel offended. But if you've been around truckers for more than a few months, you begin to realize there are a lot of whiners who never take responsibility for their own lives. This company did this to me, that four-wheeler made me do that, the customer made me do such-and-such, that cop is just picking on me....not me, not me, not me. Gets tiresome after a while.

The statement I quoted sounded like you didn't want Covenant to see what happened. If you are, in fact, a completely innocent party and did your job without complaint, accidents or service failures and you were picked on because the office person didn't like the way you wear your hair, then what's the problem with them looking into it?

I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm just saying there is very, very rarely a totally innocent party in any dispute. You have every right to fight this and. I hope you come out on top. And that's all I'm going to say about it.

As I said in another thread: If you feel like your toes were stepped on, maybe my statements are not far from the truth.

Injun here is what my Dispatcher did to me at a carrier I left in 98 I got a copy of my Dac in 06 as a Joke. He claimed I had 3 accidents 3 months After I left the company. He also claimed I get this Abandonded the truck 2 weeks BEFORE he claimed I had those 3 accidents that included 2 rollovers. Yes he is still with the COmpany and He is now the VP of the place. He cost me 2 jobs.

People can feel like they are gettng their toes stepped on without anything being not far from the truth. I am very aware that a lot of truckers are accussatory fussy whiney creatures and i am also aware that a lot of truckers feel like they know everything about everything and everyone else. I am not accusing you of this but if you feel like your toes are being stepped on maybe these statements arent far from the truth either.
I am not a fussy trucker. I am just a guy who has been out of the game for a bit and am trying to work my way back in and want everything to be nice and tidy when companies start pulling my records. Having an old company pile up 4 or 5 petty little issues that never happened onto my DAC is not my idea of it being tidy. I am a man that will own up to mistakes i have made in trucking or out. Most people love to have problems and issues solved in the easiest quickest way possible and that includes me and thats why I hope my dispute is just kind of dusted away due to personell changes. That would be the quickest fastest way for that stuff to come off. I couldnt care less if Covenant sees or knows anything about me because the odds of me ever attempting to go back to work for Star or trying to get into Covenant are slim to none. Sorry, it just annoys me to no end when people that dont have any productive input to the subject at hand hop on a thread and just toss out pointless opinions that do nothing to further the discussion going on. Your post was useless and thats the kind of thing that constantly makes threads lose their direction and annoying to read. Sorry, rant over.

OOIDA took DAC on a few years ago in Colorado. Basically, the jist is this: DAC is still in business, trucking companies still report to them-but the court also said the driver could file a rebuttal about the report. The company is given an opportunity to reply if they don't the info must be removed, but the driver rebuttal remains in the report and that must be reported. If you're serious about your DAC get the report, rebuttal what info is incorrect and go on.

If I ever get my brain fixed any information in my DAC will be so out of date that I will be a freaking Trainee again.
