Driving the Big Pumpkin makes me happy when that little light goes red. I drive through, dim my lights and am on my way.

The one time I got pulled in everything was in place, the truck was recently PMd and the trailer was in good order with the paper in the little container on the front.

My whole time inside Lane 1 was about 25 minutes. Out of there with a "Have a nice day" ... I had made two PB&J sammmiches while I was hanging around up there.

I was behind a truck this morning that when the tandems hit the scale the numbers stuck at 36940 .... what a nice little distraction to let the Orange Box go by.

Did the company even have operating authority?
    How about driver's logs?
How poorly maintained was this knucklehead's equipment?

Well, long story short the guy has no license, the truck and trailer have no insurance, tags or anything else it would need. The owner thought he was slick until I showed up at his house to say hello. :yes2557:

I'll bet he was surprised to find out that you made house calls!!!
I did that once when I fired a guy, and I had a LEO go with me....good times. :biggrin_25523:

Actually it was revoked and an out of service order.

    No logs, local.

Bad, way bad. no trailer lights that worked and the equipment was just sitting there with no chains holding it down. Not a tractor trailer, but a 26,000 lbs truck and 20,000 lbs trailer. Bunch of other violations. Brake violations. etc.

By the time this guy gets done paying the fines, the tow and the impound fees he'll wish
he'd have just done it the legal way. The money he THOUGHT he was saving by going
illegal just all vanished in a matter of minutes.

I've got no use for some one that won't secure their load and risks the lives of every
one else on the road. Were I to pass some one like this that didn't have their load
secured I'm not above calling them in.

Maybe DieselBear needs to change his handle to Ed McMahon, since he shows up at the house with the Prize Patrol! We have a winner!
