I enjoy the variety of foods mother nature put here for us. I even enjoy a little junk food now and then. Everything in moderation is my motto, and I haven't had any health problems, except for a back problem, and changing my diet isn't gonna fix that anyway.

Well, for all those who say you MUST eat fruits, I ask you this.

If your ancestors were from Europe, or from the upper areas of North America, what fruits do you think they were eating during the winter months? California oranges weren't imported to these areas 500 years ago, and yet people survived and flourished. There is no such thing as a "good sugar".

As for the idea of a "balanced diet", there is no official definition of this listed with the U.S.D.A., or any other federal agency.

I'm all for having fruits, but only one day a week, to help keep your thyroid in check, and help improve fat loss. A once/week caloric spike with sugars helps in quite a few ways. I can technical here if you want me to. It's your call.

As for red meats, I wouldn't overload on them, until your levels are down. Once they are, then introduce more red meats into your diet, and get retested.

Mother nature never started a trucking or shipping company to bring all of these non-indigenous foods to your store. Mother nature never made a chocolate croissant. As for your back problems, I could give you suggestions to explore, if you wish. However, me thinks you don't care for me, so you probably wouldn't try them, anyways. Right? :biggrin_25525:

Too much of ANYTHING can be bad for you. Even water.

Are you a trained medical professional? Trained physical therapist? Trained nutritionist? If not then I will do as my osteopath, who is a spinal specialist, suggests, since he is very well educated on back issues and the whole body system.

Ahhh, you're stuck on titles, and believe people can't educate themselves beyond what a "professional" knows.

I'm going to guess you don't wear any shoes with lifts in your heels(high heels, or anything that isn't really a flat soled shoe). At least, I hope not. That's a killer on the lower back.

There is something called The Egoscue Method. Excellent for the mid-back.

If there are problems with the muscles fused to bone, or adjacent antagonistic muscles, ART works fantastic.

Possibly, the pain could be caused my muscles not even related to your back, that are no longer firing correctly. In that case, Advanced Muscle-Integration Therapy could work wonders.

However, these are just suggestions that you could look into. But, as I said, I'm sure you won't bother, as I'm not schooled by a university.
