so here we go with a career change.....or is it midlife crisis? lol haven't really decided yet but after 15 years in aviation management going for the cdl and see where it goes.....i have to wonder if it's a little ironic that i got my commercial pilot's license 3 days before 9/11 and 40,000 pilot jobs went away and i ended up in the management side of things instead of flying the big iron....and now, as i start school in 2 weeks to drive that fuel prices are going through the roof. what are the odds? hahahaha still, as i have been somewhat addicted to this forum for the last 3 months as i've done my final research, i agree with what sooooo many of the old hands have pointed out.....that's it's more the attitude you bring to the job and what your expectations are....or more importantly, aren't.....that determines whether you make it or break it in the business.....i'd like to think i'm going in with at least one eye open, having not only been around the block a time or two in my life but also being fortunate enough to have something going on between my ears......good to finally meet all of you i've been following and listening to for months now......at least i think i have a good idea where NOT to apply before i get into the process lol

yeah caveman, just like anything else in life....there will always be whiners and complainers and those who don't want to put their head down and get dirty....it just seems like a good fit for me if i can get on with the right company....and i do have the luxury of a little bit of time before my current job goes away at the end of the summer after 15 years of dedication and committment.....so, at least i don't have to take the first thing that comes along.....
