You need to live fairly close to a DC, since they return to said DC when empty to re-load.

Just putting my two cents worth in on the subject. Ashley was not in operation when I left Mississippi, but I drove for Washington Furniture in Houlka, and also Franklin Chairs out of Houston, Ms., back in the early 90's. The money was great and all the miles you could stand. Running single, it was not uncommon to leave Mississippi, take a run to Salt Lake City, UT, return to Mississippi, pick up another load and go to Allentown, Pa. All this done and still have 2 days off each week. At Washington Furn, we always came home empty. Had to tailgate the loads, but the pay was worth it.

Talked to someone from the recruiting dept and they said had to be with-in 50 miles from one of there dc. So there is not even a chance for me I'm well beyond that. Is there any other good company's that hire with no experience?

I live in Louisiana also and have seen their yard. I am currently still in school and will graduate in Dec. I called Ashley to see what the deal was with that yard and other information about them. What I was told was that they are not hiring for this area "Hammond" and that they require 1 year experience to be qualified to drive for them. Also they said that they have not had any openings in this area in a while but to keep checking the website or calling them to find out if they were looking for more drivers.
