Barracuda, that is hillarious about Stevens. I laugh and say no way, but on the other hand some of the things I've seen Stevens do out here I could see it. Xitman also congrats on your new journey.
These last 6 weeks or so, has been stressful with having to take a lot of time off, but everyone is working with me and understands what is going on. I have not even left the Central Time Zone in the last month. I 35 is starting to get old, but they are keeping me moving, and getting me home. Next week it should be all over, and be able to make my move up to Utah, and start running out west a lot more, and stay out for a month or more at a time!

I just got to Oregon few hours ago, I screwed up my schedule few days ago when I stopped early in Grand Island, so now I have to pay for my mistake and get up at midnight so I can make my delivery in the morning. Thanks Wyoming.
My next load will be taking me from Kennewick, WA to Rochelle, IL that delivers on the 1st. I did a quick Google maps check which sugested taking I-90 and I-94, but I think I will take the 30 mile longer route on I-84 and I-80 instead. -
can one employee name all the terminals loc and if shwrs n fuel avail at them??also was told orintation for me would be in houston,tx hiring outta alamo 10-4

I dont understand why having a shower is a big concern about going to work for someone?? I would be concerned more about pay and how they treat you. ....if you are sitting around at difffernt heyl yards..you must not be getting the miles

I made my delivery in Lakeland this morning and now I am enjoying time at home.
When I picked up at Tyson in Logansport the bills said I had 44,300 on board. I think it was more weight than that because when all the adjustments I had to to to the fifth wheel and trailer were done I grossed out at 79,920 with only 43 gallons of fuel on board. My drive axels weiged out at 33,920 which meant I could put a whole 10 gallons of fuel in the tanks and still remain legal.
Knowing my weight predicament I located every scale on my route, located my fuel stops, and figured out how much fuel I could burn before approaching each scale and still be legal. Needless to stay there were several fuel stops along the way. Thank goodness I had plenty of time this load. Tyson usually likes to have a tight schedule. Amazingly, the prepass only told me to enter the scales once which was at the North Florida scale.
The website lists all the terminals. As far as showers at terminals I think you may be better off just showering at a truckstop. I know there is a shower in the Zephyrhills and Akron terminal. The Sioux Falls terminal does not have one but the Flying J is just a few miles away. Since you will only be able to fuel at Pilots and Flying J's you should not have a problem getting a shower every day or every two days at the most.
Xit, what was the idle policy with May?TDriver4Life and The Challenger Thank this. -

mr.nobody, the only terminal that you can fuel at is the akron one. As for a shower, zephyrhills and akron are the only terminals you can do that at. As for orientation in houston, im not sure what recruiter you talked to but that is certainly not the case. We dont even have a terminal in Houston. You would more than likely go to Akron, which is the main terminal and do it there. Occasionally a driver from texas goes to zephyrhills or edinburg. Anywhow, good luck on your adventure at Heyl!

I talked to a recruiter today. She told me to give her a call when I get 6 months of OTR.
