what shops are putting these in? I'm a bit worried now, I'm putting my truck into the laredo shop tomarrow

ya i got one, their is a wire spliced into your radio conection, you can tell were bubba added it. So if you dont want to hear it clip it.
I never logged into mine so i have never used the GPS function

 

Then what good is the #### thing

 

not really sure, i do like the fact it will read your messages while your rolling,(if you can understand her)but mine takes forever to start up and allways wakes me up at night when it comes on,but i am a real light sleeper. I took diesel girls advice about turning the volume down but the noise it makes when it turns on wakes me up...when the screen powers up

 

Freaking annoying is what it is.
On mine there are buttons near the dash to navigate the messages and there's a volume switch to turn her voice up or down. I keep it turned alllllll the way down but I have my QC propped up near the passenger seat so if the little green light is on saying I have a message I can turn the radio down and turn her up to hear what it is.

..she doesn't quite get the abbreviations right so sometimes I have to replay the message to totally figure out what the heck she was saying.

 

I don't like electronics that talk to you. Just nuts.

 

Y'all keep the squallcomms, talking or otherwise!
