if you can find one go for the skip shooter brand antenna for your cobra.

I have a browning antenna it works really well. I got it hooked up to a General Lee that has been peaked and Tuned. I'm swinging 50 watts and 60 watts on a whistle. At 12-15 miles I've had a couple drivers complain that I was "blowing their doors off". If you want to tune your antenna go to radio shack they sell a swr meter for around $48 tax included. You'll need to trim your whip little by little until you reach a 1.5 or less on the swr meter.

Some co-phased cables used intermediate connectors to make routing them into the cab a little easier - smaller holes in the firewall. You are probably missing the double pigtail with a PL259 on the double end and MiniUhf connectors on the other two ends to mate with the two cable ends in the cab.
If It's a company truck check with them for another. If not a CB shop in your area can (maybe) supply you with the needed pigtail if you want to use the co-phase array. Or use a single RG8 cable to one of the antennae as was suggested. Don't put a PL259 connector on one of the RG59 cables.
