Well Ive had a local gig past couple years, i rarely see the DOT let alone scale houses, I usually almost always already know the location im headed to. Well our road drivers busy so im taking our daycab to the western side of st. louis, other than the 720 miler i did yesterday to jersey city and back, this will be my farthest trip away from home, hell yeah im nervous. The run to jersey was mostly driving in PA anyhow. Any hints from you OTR guys, know any cheap hotels off I70 on the far side of st. louis? I'm running I70 west the whole way, see ya'll out there.:biggrin_25515:

i do not know of any "cheap" motels, but when you go to register, ask for "truck driver's rates"..have your CDL ready for proof....

if you belonged to the OOIDA, i do believe with the OOIDA card there are discounts as well. how much, i do not know, but use it to your advantage.

Days Inn, Howard Johnsons, Travelodge, Knights Inn, Super 8, Ramada
