I just got done reading this thread....wow!
Let me just say first I don't take kindly to people who berate drivers.
That being said from what I read she gets loads of logs from several different sources. She has no communication with the drivers responsible for those logs.Day after day she sees the same problems with the logs. I couldn't help but feel a little sympathy for her. That's not a place I would want to be.
"Logsrus" is my hero! -just joking-
I have had some really good log auditors in my time driving truck, and a few bad ones. The good ones took the time to help their drivers do the logs right. Showing them their mistakes and helping them understand why it was a mistake in the first place. The bad ones? Well every driver knows what the bad ones do.

those aren't coffee/coke/soda/OJ stains on those logs you know.
If I was you, I'd just send a memo to the companies to have their logs sent to you plain-jane, and stapling stuff to the logs aren't allowed. Just feel lucky you aren't my DM, because if I knew there was something I could do to drive you crazy, I'd be doing it in spades.

Wait...
People actually read these things?
What in the world for?
I mean... OK... Since I'm under-experienced with the different ways of dealing with logs, I guess I just don't understand what some folk have to go through with them...
I fill out a full page log sheet, which covers two days. one day on the top half, second day on the bottom half.
once it's full, with my next trip sheet, I scan it in using... "Transflo" I believe (mainly at pilots, but our terminals have scanners as well...
Then, from what I understand, the scanned page goes to some third-party company in Florida, that sprinkles magic dust upon their computers. and... then... well, I suppose something happens after that, but I don't know what. -
I always turn in neat logs,it makes everybodies job easier. When u do get checked by DOT & they see a nice neat log they usually hand it back & tell u to carry on. The neater it looks less chance your safety people will look at it.They usually just glance at it & go on to a messy log that they have to pull apart to figure it out.

sitting in traffic going no where or sitting in front of a computer fixing peoples pencil marks.... both seem to carry stress marks......thats what the bag at the gym is for......work together now people
-
Thanks for being neat

I do like neater logs, although I understand some just don't have the neat handwritting and we deal with that the best we can

That's just wrong now
