On your bunk heater when they get a little bit older the igniter on it starts to gum up and sometimes it will take a little bit for it to kick on. Also if you don't use it for a while they will lose the fuel prime on it and will take a while to get it kicked on also.

Delivered my load in Holland, MI this morn. Man it was a hairy drive coming in. Weather wasn't doing anything but very cold and all the roads had A LOT of ice on them from the winter movement that went through yesterday. I only had 20,000 lbs so not really enough to help me out.

After delivery they dispatched me to pick up in Stanwood, MI. Even further north where the weather was worse. I swear there were gale force winds, lol. Roads were very bad and I was empty. It sucked to say the least. I hit ice at one time and felt the tractor fish tail. Bunghole pucker meter.....solid 9. It didn't freak me out but it wasn't an enjoyable feeling either. But made it here to Nestle's, in the dock waiting to be loaded with 45,000 lbs of Ice Mountain water to take to Sheboygan, WI to deliver at 0630 tomorrow.

    Be safe out there!

A very productive day today for sure. I camped out at Pembroke, NY last night. Made my delivery in Rochester this morn finally after them jerking me off for 3 hours. Headed off to Newburgh, NY to finish the run. These were postal DC's. Government workers and union workers are worthless in my opinion.

Hit ready for dispatch around 3:45, he came back with a pick up in NJ about 75 miles away. It was a broker load and had to be picked up by 5:30. After a short break and writing down the load info from the QC, he beeps me again and said Dude I didn't even ask if you have the hours available, lol.

I had about 2.5 left for the day, but mind you its going on 4:00 now and I'm about 50 miles from NYC and they want me in NJ by 5:30. I said probably not but I'll give it my best shot. I got there at 5:35, lol.

No I didn't drive like a mad man, and for the newbies my truck wont' go no faster than 62(nor will yours probably when you go solo). Anywho, I took the back way in and avoided I-95.

Now I'm headed to WI with a Menards load, a whopping 3500 lbs. Easy money for sure.

Ok enough for now, I'm tired and rambling. Be safe out there.

Hanging out in Stoney Brook (Toledo) until Sunday because I'm out of hours. I thought this was going to be a killer week but being out of hours kind of put a snag in that idea. But it's still going to be a decent week, just not killer. lol

Gonna sneak in a reset while I'm so I can run balls after wards. Have a great weekend all and be safe.

Enjoy the rest and from what I hear and see it's not a bad day to be off the winter roads.

Sitting in Eau Claire taking my 10. No MT's at Menards so I guess I'll check back after my 10.

I have a friend whose g/f's daughter went to USA Trucking, finished training and went solo about 2 weeks ago. He said she has no bunk heater in her truck and it won't idle longer than 5 minutes. Would that suck or what? I think that would be a legitimate complaint to somebody.

Be safe out there guys and gals!

U should be good menards usually has loaded trailers. That's crazy about her truck. They must expect her to get motel room all the time or.find a team driver to keep truck moving and warm.
