I'm not a recruiter or work in an office. But I've been with PAM Transport for three years. They are really good to start with.

nearly everyone I've ever met that worked for PAM was broke, or pretty close to it.

Go to the bar across the top of your screen and hit search then go read the bashing PAM is getting lately!

That line you started out with is just about the same thing as starting a sentence with these well known words, "You ain't going to believe this sh t but...."

Besides you have only been driving for 3 and that is your only company (probably) but what do you have to compare it against?

    I even visited the website
The MOST important thing a driver needs to know to not waste the call or his or PAMs time is that one most important thing every driver wants to know and that is.....drum roll..... CENTS PER MILE PAY! Yeppers! They have 401, the weekly pay for the Health Insurance which BTW not a bad cost unless it's a bad plan so I'll give them that! And a Referral Bonus. Everything else is about industry standard!

BUT they give some BS annual pay which is and this is a copy from PAMs website "Our top driver for 2005 earned over $95,000.00 last year. You can too! Drivers fresh out of driving school can earn as much as $40,000.00 their first year out of training."

That Top driver had to be an O/O! I posted MY W-2 for 2008 and that was for 25 1/2 weeks and it didn't make it that high as a company driver if doubled, BUT I was on a dedicated weekly route to NYC multi drop reefer with ALL those NYC bennies! I'll have to call BS to that until I see a REAL tax return! The $40K a year, unless you post a CPM I'll call BS on that also!

I wonder if they'll update their website to show 2010 pay and the real pay scale?

#####? Did I just come off as a recruiter???

2005? Darn, that should set off alarm bells! When a company can't even update their website in 6 yrs!

Try Rhoel and Millis Transfer. Those companies seem to get the most positive rants.

:) Good question. I think the good companies have been bought out by the bad ones.

Let me kick this into play:

Any first job behind the wheel is going to be tougher at first and, therefore, the company you are with may seem like the spawn of Satanat times . However, some companies do a better job than others of working with drivers. CRE isn't one of them.

    Good luck once again.

IMHO, if you see a company that bases such a huge percentage of its business model on training new drivers you should be very afraid.
It means anyone with an ounce of experience will not work for them. Think about it.
