Your question is really getting to me sorry dont take this the wrong way. If you took the load for $4500.00 be happy about that. it does not matter what the broker or anyone else takes. If you took it for $4500 then that means you were ok with rate if not then dont hual it.

 

The brokers know how much will make you smile and keep the rest. That's why they always have bargaining room just like a car dealer. Never accept the 1st rate they want you to bite on.

 

I agree with you LaComa, why come and ask what some one might have made. Brokers provide a service for trucks and for shippers, if you are unhappy with your cut, don't haul for them anymore. It's ok to complain about their ethics, but don't complain about what they took for their cut. If $4,500 was not enough perhaps you should not have hauled it. Learn to negotiate!!

 

I did not read his post as complaining. I took it as just asking where the money is going. it is good to ask & to know where the money is going, how else are you going to know what position your in to negotiate? if you know the broker is not making a lot on a load, you know he has little room to compromise & make money himself, where if you know he is making a killing, you have more leverage.
