    I am getting really pissed with mine. Couldn't find the street the old Walmart DC is on in Cullman AL today. I put in for a Kangaroo T/S in Ft.Payne AL tonight. It took me to a Lowe's. I then put in for a Walmart and I saw the Kangaroo a few blocks ahead on the opposite side of the road!

    I put in to go to the Nissan factory and it took me the wrong way off the exit in Canton AL. Then when I put in for my shipper leaving there it had me get on at the closest entry ramp to I-55 and go North. Then had me get off at the next exit and head South. There was a South entrance ramp at the other exit!

    I could have spent less or the same on a Garmin with more features.

    Can you provide some specific details of when it cannot tell you how to get somewhere? For example the approximate starting location and the destination address. I can then investigate.

    We have different models with different designs using different software, which is why there are no "universal updates". The updates are model-specific. We are no different than anyone else, that's just how electronics products evolve over time.

    Software updates are available for download from our website <here>.

    For database updates yes, you will need to contact us. The reason why is because they are very large (over 2 gigabytes). Too big to download. Database updates come on an SD card that plugs into the side of the nav unit.

    • Walmart DC - do you mean 2200 7th Avenue SW in Cullman, AL? I was able to find that address no problem. Hint: if the street is a number like 7th Ave, then just enter the number ("7" in this example) and then hit the pulldown arrow in the upper-right. You will see 7th Ave SW listed.
    • Kangaroo T/S - we have the wrong address for this truck stop, about 2 blocks away from the actual location. I have notified our engineers.
    • Nissan factory - please let me know the location of this factory and from which direction you were approaching.

    Were you referring to map updates? Software updates are universal, but yes map updates are unit-based in the sense that it is per the serial number. But even if it wasn't, we would still need to mail it out due to the size of the data.
