jardel, yes I have mine disconnected. Don't know how much better fuel milage is cause I did not have the truck long when I found the posts on here telling how to do it, and I did it right then. I do know it does pull better, and water temp is cooler. I do believe it is running much better with it unplugged.

 

Did you notice that was the smaller 670 Volvo and not a bigger 780. Come on man.............LOL

 

This company Interstate, is operating a lot in NW, pulling and overheating the trucks over the Rockies on I-90/5/15/84,the trucks must be worn out bad.

 

the oil in getting black after 10000 miles with the egr at 3000 is black more power the engine in running much better and cleaner only good things .

 

Well magum did u get your truck yet? I went in a completely different direction. Bought a 05 western star 4900ex with a detroit 14L 515hp 13 spd 3.58 rears. I pick it up tues morning. Will b in for a big change with the hood and longer wheel base from the columbia I was driving for company. Just excited to get going,been sitting for almost 2 wks,, since my last company run.

 

How did you sound proof your truck? Was it noisy going down the road before you did it? Mine is pretty quite but may do more sound proofing, honestly haven't thought about it.

 

Not all, once they ran out of '06 they had to go to the '07. I looked at two with '07 in them.

I was thing of buying an truck (use of corse) I would like to know the different between the volvo 2007 (780) auto-shift an 2008 auto-shift, so far I know the 2007 has an 10 speed auto-shift, the 2008 has an 12 speed in it, other then that, is one better then the other. Both have 3.42 rear end drive.

Any help would be great.
