i pull out of unilever in pontoon beach, il all the time. Good people there.
The unilever (aka Best Foods) mayo plant in Chicago on Kilbourn can go to hell. They never keep an appointment. If your appointment is at 3pm, you probably wont be given a dock till 2am. Docks and drop lot are tight. Security gaurds suck. Almost punched the old guy in the mouth one night for saying he let the shipping office know
i was there, but when i called up there they said he hadn't (had been sitting waiting for a door since his shift the day before). -
I pulled pallet trailers out of the Unilever in Owensboro. The very best smelling pallets come out of that place

I guess Unilever has cornered the market on good shipper awards!
I picked up all the time at the Rialto CA DC and the folks there were super, day, night, weekends, week days. The trailers were always ready, the place organized and efficient, and I looked forward to pick ups at their location.

I had an issue with Unilever in Carlisle, PA once. I get live loaded (2 hours) and I put it on their scale and it weighs 80,700 lbs. I go to the window of the guard shack and expect them to assign me a door to have a pallet or two taken off.
But then they say well our scale isn't certified and because you're only 700 over you need to take it to a certified scale and return with a scale ticket before we will rework the load.
So after spending 2 hours in their dock I have to drive 20 minutes to Flying J, wait in line 10 minutes for my ticket, drive 20 minutes back to Unilever before they will take me in a door to wait some more when they knew I was overweight already?
I drive a daycab and do primarily drop and hooks and this pick up cost me 4 hours. I was not a happy camper.
