Why do drivers feel the need to sit in the fuel islands forever? Especially when they're busy. Fuel up and get the hell out of the way, I saw dudes sitting in their trucks eating, checking out chrome and generally screwing around while I who was in a hurry waited to get a spot to fuel. Cmon man if your gonna eat your dinner or check out the truck stop atleast pull your lazy ### up, so I can fuel. :biggrin_25510:

yep, an everyday occurrence from the ignorant few.

no, they cannot read, not do they even really care. they are INDEED TO LAZY to drive around to look for a parking space. what IS NEEDED is a REAL cop, being paid "detail pay" to enforce the rules....

    it's a win-win-win, situation...

they are told to move NOW, you get to fuel up, the cop gets to retire to the Bahama's....:biggrin_25525:

Jeez, don't you know that these fuel island campers can barely drive their trucks to start with. Do you really want them to try and get into a parking space before they waddle to the buffet or the fast food counter? The parking lot crashes will be more and worse then they are now!:biggrin_2556:

The couple days otr made me miss my local work, but i did like running the interstate alot. Lazy people get under my skin, so stops at truck stops just drove me nuts.

    When at all possible,

time your fuel breaks at off peak hours.

    Also pertains to showers,

so much easier when most trucks are on the road.

2-3 PM seems to work really well !!

    YMMV !!!!

Adding some fuel to the fire.. the driver who pulled ahead. You fuel, go in and hit the restroom, grab a cup, do the quick go around, update log, AND THE MOFO is still there.
I'll run through the island.. restroom, grab my cup of joe, and getouttathere..
If I put 150 gal in and washed my windows and mirrors, went in and did my business, AND your still there!? You deserve my wrath, you get all my Newbie wrath.
    I'm a newbie btw:biggrin_25510:

Any more it takes about 15 to 20 minutes of standing in the line to get waited on to even pay.

Have you noticed the reduced amount of workers at the fuel desk/convenience store anymore?
