Thinking of getting into trucking, but dont have a CDL yet. What are the best companys to start with out of FL (at least, thats where I live anyway.)? Who has the longest/shortest training, whos got the best trucks..ect. Im just tired of making $10/hr fueling airplanes. Im 22 (too young??) and looking to make at least 5-600/week, Im barley making that in 2 weeks. Was looking at Werner, but im reading more and more about how they goat rope you in then turn out to be crap...any input?

I wouldn't get into it today as a newbie unless I could get a union job right after graduation. That job may require me to lump freight for six months to prove myself, but that'd be fine. I'm more mature now and understand those six months would go by in a hurry, just like all 6-month stints. After the 6-month period lapsed, I'd be set for years, maybe even decades.
Do some research here and see what you come up with. -

Well hopefully you returned to this forum to check on your post. Please remember, Most of us actually DO drive a truck. Few of us have access to the net 24/7. So it takes time for us to respond.
I won't bother with commenting on Werner...that's been done to death here. I will offer this.. http://www.ripoffreport.com/ do a search for Werner there...and let the nightmares begin.
Check the other forums here as well. You'll find your questions have been answered in detail...much greater than you could imagine. -
