Recently, on another prominent expediting forum, a member was banned for life due to posting an acronym which the administration deemed obscene and directed at them. I will not bother to post it here but suffice to say, as you can imagine, an acronym can be construed a number of different ways. After all, it is merely a series of letters.

This past week, a number of members at the same expediter's site were commenting on what penalty a certain individual in the news should receive should he be convicted of the crime he is accused of. A few of them were blatently advocating outright murder, saying they would do it themselves! They named the man by name. They specified they would murder him. My question to you is: Should this be O.K. to post on an internet forum? The administration deleted the acronym, but allows multiple posts furthering the idea that it is all well and good to murder somebody. What do you think?

I think what your getting at Rocket is that you see that the people in charge are letting the suggestions of violance is being alowed but outright saying something is banned. If the connection is direct it is banned if it can be taken onlythat way by betting aroud the bush so to speak it's okay. Yes i see the condradiction and it's life. everyone picks and chooses what to allow and not to allow and usally there is no standard rules that are followed.

I know the ExpeditersOnline community has had some turbulence recently, but carrying those arguments over to this forum isn't appropriate. There are some other expediter sites created recently to talk about it, and I'd encourage you to leave the discussion of EO and its policies on those sites. We don't want our own expediter sub-forum to be used as a third-party battleground.
