Recently, on another prominent expediting forum, a member was banned for life due to posting an acronym which the administration deemed obscene and directed at them. I will not bother to post it here but suffice to say, as you can imagine, an acronym can be construed a number of different ways. After all, it is merely a series of letters.
This past week, a number of members at the same expediter's site were commenting on what penalty a certain individual in the news should receive should he be convicted of the crime he is accused of. A few of them were blatently advocating outright murder, saying they would do it themselves! They named the man by name. They specified they would murder him. My question to you is: Should this be O.K. to post on an internet forum? The administration deleted the acronym, but allows multiple posts furthering the idea that it is all well and good to murder somebody. What do you think?
