Be on Fontana around lunch tomorrow and upgrade Monday. Do they have rooms at the yard or hotel for Sunday night?

Good to hear you're ready to upgrade and get started,Dave. They do have a barracks at Fontana, but luckily (?) they also use the Econolodge. Keep us posted on your travels and be safe.

And what does have to do with me doing a 3K week?? Just because you are bitter with Central doesn't mean everyone is or will be..

This thread was started way back when to include the good, the bad and the ugly side of Central!!!

After drivers move on from Central and away from a starter company they realize a 3000 mile week is the norm not the exception:biggrin_25511:

I do not drive 3000 miles per week. More like 2200-2500. But I am home almost every weekend.

your just shy of 3 mo employment dude you don't have it all figured out yet right now every things new and your out seeing things that you have never seen and getting to meet a lot of new people across this country let me know in 6 mo how things are once the routine of going to the same places oxer and over set in and seeing the same roads over and over. now don't get me wrong here you will still go to new places and see some different roads but a lot of the same ol same ol will be happening. that is something that makes the job suck going to the same place espicially when its a pain in the arse place to either get to or back into or just ahole people who work there. you'll be like f not that place again. but you gotta do it anyway. thats why i say your still on the honeymoon and thats with any company a newbe starts with not just central. now tell me how i am bitter with central? i should be bitter with the whole industry shouldn't i but no i love driving and even though i did find a great gig doing southeast regional i am happy as a pig in slop seeing the same roads and places everyday . you know why? that's cause im home 95% of the time. yes i would like to get out and do a few cross counery runs every now and again but hey it is what it is. so next time you acuse someone of being bitter know what your talking about and that will come with time either working for central or some other co.

Me and the hubby have been sitting at the hotel in Fontana, upgrading on Monday ....YAY! We rented a car for the weekend though, drove down to Santa Monica yesterday and walked on the beach! Beautiful weather here!
California traffic is the craziest of ever seen, you gotta do 70 mph everywhere you or your gonna get ru over!
Anyway, we're excited, can't wait to get out on our own!
    Be safe!
