I have 2 more days of school left. I am having a bit of trouble downshifting. I think it is because I am nervous with my instructors still, and the Pete Im using has the stiffest clutch in the world, its ridiculous. I do better floating, but they really push the double clutching because most companies will be looking for that. Apparently the company I am going to try and get on with want you to float as much as possible, probably because of the clutch brakes being worn to death.

Just try and remember that when downshifting to let off the clutch and raise rpms about 400 or so and hold the shifter against the gear lightly until you feel the sweet spot. If youre quick it will usually float in if youre on the brakes and rpms are still high.
