Well, my 06' Pete with 540,000 miles on it will be there in 2 weeks; maybe you guys can hook-up, lol!
More than likely you will get an older truck when you move up to experienced driver. Also, when you take your final road test it may not be in Lithia Springs. It will more than likely be whatever terminal you are closest to when you qualify.
When I joined with Werner I had to go out for a few weeks with a trainer, but it was team right from the get go. Anyway, I qualified out of Indianapolis terminal and was put in a rental car with 2 other guys and we drove to Channahon, Illinois to get our trucks at the drop yard there.

I will be there on March the 21st, keep me posted on how it goes so I know what to expect. I am also expecting to get an older rig, I mean, I have to wonder about any company that is going to give a brand new driver a brand new rig. That seems like putting a lot of faith in a driver that you don't know how they will drive. Anyway, good luck at orientation and during training. I will also be a recent grad from a technical college here in Georgia. I would be going to orientation earlier, but I don't do my state test for my CDL and graduate until the 15th.

Well just got off the phone with CT Transportation i only live 81 miles from the terminal in Bridgeport alabama and they dont hire from my area what a joke lol. Werner it is still

I talked to Werner on Friday and they told me that they had more trucks and loads then drivers! Wether or not thats just an empty promise or not is beyond me. And according to the rep that came to my school he said the company put in an order for 500 new tractors a couple months ago. Like I said before, it could be empty promises but I hope not!

i didnt wait. i just moved to werner about 4 months ago. i waited long enough to fill out an inspection on the truck and i was gone -
Thanks for the info -
Any news on how orientation went?
