Watkins Shepard, Here I Come

Thanks again for all the support. I go back to the yard tomorrow at 6 am, but I am not retesting until I KNOW I've got it. It's my $30, so they'll just have to be understanding at this point.

I pretty much have everything banked on this, so giving up isn't really an option. But it never does much damage to take a day to just fall apart, right?

 

When I came in today, I apologized for Friday... but they want me to retest today. I can't retest! I'm currently absolutely terrified of driving at all. This just makes my anxiety worse because I can't afford to fail. I have put everything I have into this and borrowed money besides. If I fail-- or even if I just push back past my projected orientation date in 2 weeks-- I am sunk, financially.

I'm trying to not fall apart, but failing miserably.

 

They're not. I guess I'll see if I can come back for the new class next week, unless my classmate doesn't pass today.

 

Skills = backing

You can't take the drive test 'til you pass that.

 

I will be doing the backing/skills tests and my driving test both on Wednesday. Not sure what's planned for Thursday/Friday, but I don't care. I just need to make it through Wednesday.

Tonight at the T/A an older driver asked if I was a truck driver. I said no, I was a student, and he offered to buy my meal. I declined, but if you are that driver and read this, it was very appreciated as a gesture of kindness. I'm just a little too shy to let anyone I don't know (and too stubborn to let most people I DO know) buy my meals.
