If we strike we lose money which we can't afford. If we slow down 2 hours a day we win.

    40mph 6am to 7am and 40mph 4pm to 5pm

If we slow down two hours a day we would tie up every interstate from Maine to Califorina. Every person going into a major city would be late for work in the morning and spend 3 hours going home. Day after day.
How long would it take to get our message out? Not Long.

Slow Down We Win and still make money and pay our bills.

I agree slowing down would get the point across VERY quickly and is a much better course of action considering drivers with kids at home can't afford to not make any money and without a union there's no striker's pay.

I have thought about that for up on US 2 in da UP. The troopers up there are targeting the trucks now for going only as much as 3 over lately. I figure that if you could get the few companies up there to agree on just driving 40 to 45 across US 2, They would get the message as soon as cars started calling 911 on them.

We don't need Swift, Prime, USX, USA Truck, Schnieder, CRST, Werner, Covenant We only need 10 trucks in every major city in the country. In rush hour traffic on a 3 lane interstate 3 or 4 trucks going 40mph would jam up traffic for miles from 6am to 7am in the morning. 10,000 of the 3,000,000 trucks on the road would jam up every major city from MA to CA. Ask yourself one question, can I give up 40 miles a day to for change. Can I give up 40 miles a day to get better working conditions. Can I give up 40 miles a day to get paid for waiting time at shippers and receivers.

As for Swift, Prime, USX. USA Truck, Schnieder, CRST, Werner, Covenant, they are the problem in trucking keeping rate low and putting any warm body in a truck to drive.

You will never get your point across by pissing off the general public.

You need the general public to support you. You go making them late for dinner they won't give a crap about your cause..
