IF everything is true about OIL in the good ole US of A, and we drill.... that will create more supply and less demand, global... hence less fuel prices... ECONOMICS 101 (supply and demand).
Have a great day...jdrentzjr Thanks this. -
Nor will they be able to control the speculators......
unless they nationalize the oil and gas industry.
We don't want that.
We have plenty of oil and gas......we're just short on refinery space.
We haven't built a new refinery in this country in over 25 to 30 years.
Demand keeps going up...there's plenty of crude....no refinery.
Don't take a rocket scientist to figure out that gas and diesel are gonna cost more. -
Releasing some oil from the national stockpile isn't going to make 1 bit of difference.. There isn't enough oil in the reserve to effect a price change. It's just a vain attempt at convincing the uneducated masses that Obama's trying to do somthing...
The whole reserve won't last the nation a week if we all depended on it... The reserve is for the military only... It'll keep them afloat for a while till they can secure more supplies.. It was never ment to support the whole nation!jdrentzjr, Big Red, outerspacehillbilly and 2 others Thank this. -
The EPA is the culprit here.Jason George and Big Red Thank this. -
Lease purchase with a small company. One that can help you pay for fuel and other expenses well you start up. I financed my Pete through PACCAR, and my hopper through Wilson Trailer. PACCAR isn't the best but the banks in my area are not loaning money on trucks. Or they won't loan money to new venture companies. Trucking ain't the best deal right now but if you wait for the perfect time to get into trucking you'll wait forever. Surcharges ain't keeping up with fuel at the moment but if you got a place to go and they check out good, (Find out as much as you can. Running mile average, what they provide if anything, ect) then go for it. If you're gonna live in a truck most of the year it may as be yours. Make sure trucking is what you wanna do. If it is then go for it, and good luck.
Gears and sharpshooter Thank this. -
I have to agree. I've never seen a thread where anyone says "now's the time, get in" The time to get in is when YOU feel like it. Just be flexible

If you MUST lease/purchase from a company (never should be a "must"), Don't go with a company that also has company drivers.
Maybe consider buying your truck and leasing on with a carrier like Landstar and pull one of their wagons, but I don't think you have the recent experience to qualify.
