I would check a bracelet or necklace... or even pass on a drive like I carry.

But I will/would NEVER go into a persons phone and double ditto for their wallet.

    We don't look in wallets.
    NEVER.
If you do, that $5000 he claims he had in there WILL be "missing".

If you have phones and meters and such with you in vehicle, they will be right there when that vehicle gets to the tow yard.
I have no interest in gathering your gadgets before we leave scene.

If you feel good enough to pack up a bag before departure to ER, then you don't need my "blinky bus"... you need a TAXI CAB.

I suggest you read the original thread starter i posted, didnt mention(or imply) anything about 1st responders

But any 1st responder worth their respective weight would try to access the patient to his upmost ability correct?

In my case on Oct 31st of last year i had to call 911 while i was in the T/A in Meridian MS,i told the 911 operator i thought i was having a "heart attack" as i was scheduled for operation in 2 weeks(mytral valve) i had come to in the shower and was staring at the ceiling and i didnt know what was happening,

Once out to truck i was very sluggish and actually felt drunk and had a ringing headache( you figure it out yet?) as i was on the line i slumped over the steering wheel and could hear the 911 operator and EMT's talking on my phone and then someone opened my door and looked for a pulse(none),i was still clutching my phone when i told EMT all of my "Meds" info was on there

He then instructed a VFD crew to search my truck for the MEDS(which they found easily,as i leave them out on my desk top beside my bed in a ziplock bag)

He called ahead to Er as they were having a hard time finding a pulse and no BP,as he was talking to ER he stated all my MEDS and there doses and(btw have you figured it out yet?) oh here is a hint,at the time i was on 30mg Furosemide???,once daily

Well long story short,i was 47 at the time, and had no clue that i had just became a Diabetic(Furosemide taken over time will cause a pre-diabetic condition) The Emt took a simple Blood glucose reading,it was 575,and 10 mins later it was 628,my BP was 60/20 when i arrived at ER.

The attending physician and later docs also were able to use my contact list to call my 2 doctors in NC to better treat me,and in turn this info also enabled them to my health records

But my intention was simply this,if anything else at a scene just a simple stranger could help you in so many ways just by knowing who to call, thats it.look at your contact list on your phone,,,and ask yourself this,if the worst possible thing happened to you, would you want a DOctor and or LAW enforcement calling everyone on that list to try to figure who to tell them the bad news? or get info on you

btw:I was a VFD first responder for ten years myself,we always had designated personel (usually a VFD officer) to insure all personal items went with the patient
