personally Rerun I don,t really care what you think . If some MGR wants to flunk over a seatbelt , I am not going to leave his office without saying "thankyou for your time". If they wanted to hire me they would have.. Just a minor setbnack till I do another roadtest . Me.

Is pre employment road testing mandatory or is it just a company policy

I am an ex LEO and I have been to a few bad accidents involving big trucks. In two cases I believe the truck drivers would have been killed if wearing seat belts but they were instead relatively unharmed. I like to wear it on rough roads because it helps stop me bouncing in the seat. I only wear it on good roads to avoid fines.

I've heard the argument both ways. I wear the seat belt because I do believe it will save more lives than not. Some old timers, I mean drivers that have been driving for 40 some years will not wear seat belts in a gasoline tanker because of the fire hazard. But then again I know a driver that rolled his truck and did not spill a drop or get hurt. Of course he was fired and we never saw him again but like I say the argument goes both ways. It's the law so make sure you have it on when being looked at but there are a few other laws that have no meaning either.
