Can anybody give me the skinny on J&J Snack Food in Pennsauken? Parking, loading early, speed, etc...

 

J&J is ok, I've only been there once which has been a while ago. It is a little tricky to find, you basically go down a cart trail to get to the place but they load you pretty quick. Are you doing the Pegler-Sysco load to Lincoln that usually has 4-6 pick ups on it? I came out of White Wave on Monday & am currently sitting in tropical Cedar Falls watching it snow while they unload me, I'm a little eager to jump out on the lawn and make some killer snow angels! Luckily I have my RDC load and whatever else I run this week to make up for goofy White Wave. I was hoping to score a Reynolds load but they were all backwards this week, Leah said we had one sitting in the yard going to Miami but that I didn't deliver until the 15th. I would've been ok with that, a nice little vacation in Little Havana is good for the soul!

 

Does Van Wyk hire out of Florida, Tampa area to be precise???

 

No I'm taking this to RDC. They had some trouble finding my bills. Apparently Greatwide was supposed to pick this up at 0300 today. This is kinda messed up, why don't they have you come from the other direction? No truck parking on the street 0000-0600, freakin Jersey. Luckily there's an unoccupied holding next door they said I could park at. I'll be at RDC by 1000 tomorrow.

@jlind, I can almost guarantee that Tim will say we do not hire out of Florida, it's just not a normal traffic lane for us. You may want to check into Heyl, they are out of Akron, IA. I know they have a yard in Zephryllis. I have talked to quite a few of their drivers and they seem pretty happy. They do go into Canada quite a bit, but mainly those loads are repowers to guys who live up around Calgary where they have another terminal. Another outfit you may want to check out is Holland out of Fargo, ND. I see them quite a bit when I am down in that neck of the woods. Hope this helps & good luck. Heading back to the wonderful east coast! Picked up a load in the yard and heading to beautiful Elizabeth, NJ for Friday evening. Sheri offered me a load with a stop in Kalispel, MT & Milwaukee, OR and man did I want it! Decided to get the one to Dirty Jersey instead so I can have another good load on this weeks check. Have you guys used Transflo yet? I just picked up the trip sheets & cover sheets today, seems pretty easy.
