You know? I was just going to leave it alone. You waited 18 hours between these last two posts to jump back on your soap box. (Here, lemme hold it for ya so's ya don't break your arse fallin off it.)
I actually agree with almost everything you say and, as I have said before, I do not wave my education like a red flag in front of a bull. And you are right about arrogance and snippiness. However. It comes from two directions. When you come up with "in all your years of experience" or some other such nonsense to make it appear another person couldn't possibly have a clue about something, it is no less a personal attack than someone putting you down for having less "book larnin" than another. It feels no less condescending and insulting. Which is why I point out there is more to life than driving a truck and all of us have other experience in life.
Never once have I mentioned my education in an attempt to make you feel inferior in any way. I am willing to listen to anyone with valid information until they make a lame attempt to sound "better" than someone else or try to put someone else down with a simple number count of experience years. I go after anyone who displays such arrogance and hubris. And I do it without mentioning education level. As I said before, it's nothing personal. It's a response to a presentation I do not agree with.
But, you couldn't just leave it be. Therefore, here I am. Don't like my word usage, vocabulary and grammar? Not my problem. And I am one of the first to go after someone who attacks nother member for spelling and grammar. It is my belief that regardless of capability with the written English language, nearly everyone has something to offer. And regardless of experience level moving a large vehicle across the countryside.
I fully expect anyone to point out the times when I show some arrogance. But...I defy you to find anywhere that I have attacked any person for having less years in formal education than I have.
(We actually agree on many more points than I believe you are willing to accept. Maybe because you believe I am not worth as much as you since the little number by my "Trucker?" question is "4" rather than "20.")
How about I make a deal with you: I'll park my 'tude if you'll park yours.

(not you personally)...if you are flying down the mtn..chances are ,NOT IN TIME...trucker_101 Thanks this. -
