You may get your truck in one day or a few, there's no telling...

So it's no BS about taking you straight to a truck then?

Excellent. A gal in my CDL class said that she had spoken with Kristi and stated "There were an awful lot of buts, I'm not sure they'd get me a truck anytime soon, or just drag me along."

    I'm excited.

    Thanks gang.

Waiting a day or two to get your truck doesn't sound all that bad.

i am curious what people think. W/S or may? i am a little nervous about hopping in a truck and going since i am a newbie. any thoughts. i trust myself but it is a concern. i have been doing more reading and it seems there are only a few who like may. does anyone know if at W/S you can take the truck home on days off or leave it at the yard. i though at may you could but nope.

Your truck would be left at the terminal, in your case Denver.

There both very good companies and in some ways run the same but in others not.

Neither company allows you to take the Tractor home.

With may you'll have to go out with a trainer for 1-4 weeks depending on what you need.

    With us you dont.

May runs more like a BIG company then we do in that, this IS your route, this IS where you are going to fuel, etc

Where as with us, they give us a route and fuel stops, but if for whatever reason you need to do somthing differant its not a big deal, all you have to do is get the load from A to B as quickly/safely/legally as possible with as few miles as possible. I try to save them $$ whenever possible.

Anyhoo, you just have to decide whats more important to you....

Oh and they have BRAND NEW trucks and we dont lol But we run more miles then they do

But they start out at a higher cpm then we do but then we end up 1cpm less then they are at the end of our first year....so not much of a differance

    lol :biggrin_2559:

One more thing about getting to your truck....on the trip to get to it, you are getting team pay along with the driver taking you there. Oh, and you get the team pay whether you drive or not.
My situation, driver picked me up in Missoula on a Saturday, we drove to Great Falls. Loaded on Sunday morning for a Wednesday delivery in Sacramento (my truck was in Modesto, close by). It was 1200-odd miles. I only drove part of 2 different days and still got my portion of the 1200 miles of team pay. Not a bad way to get to your truck if you ask me....
