Ok...how many of you "Mudder's" ever had a "Hot load" (2% "CC" Aka Calcium Chloride...CaCl2) and had to "chip" the load after it sat because a contractor screwed up?

Ive been driving mixer for about 4 years now since I got my liscense at 18 they tose me in a truck and said dont piss anyone off and dont wreck the truck. Its an easy job to get bc the turnover is high and the pay isnt that great. Some days I love it when Im racing the paver or climbing muddy hills or doing the teeter totter dance flirting with a rollover. Ive always taken pride in being able to outdrive and outlast guys twice my age.

If you get a 10 yard+ rear discharge truck you can do some fun wheelies when pouring on brigdes Ive had the front tires of my Mack over 6 feet high when I topped the hill but she pulled it like a champ.

Ive havent lost a load yet but I had a guy try to dick around like that with a load of Super M4 mix (hot patch for hwys with 2%) and me and him had a few words and 4 yards was dumped on the side of the road that he paid for and I was gone. I never have minded the hot stuff its the grout and mortars they use to fill mineshafts I hate it sticks like crazy with no rock to clean the drum. Flowable mortar and grout is the worst.

Maybe that's why the "Mudders" who drive for Robertson's run those mixers like they had "cans" on the back running up the 710 from the Port of Long Beach....:biggrin_25523:
