    sad new....
I found this out early this morning....and have been thinking about what i was going to say on here alllll day long..... theres a lot that can be said, but i will do my best to make it as short and sweet as i can...
Roxy, one of our hard working recruitors, someone who always went the extra mile to help all the newnbies out, has left the company... Roxy, someone who always stood behind anyone that came across something in life to better them selfs, has done so her self... I wont mention where she is going, and what she will be doing, i believe she is left to some privacy, but i will tell you for a fact that this company is going to miss her dearly, myself included!! Roxy and I became good friends over the past 4 years, in my opinion roxy has always gone to the extream to welcome many many of the new drivers to the company, and getting them set when they first arrive at the terminal out in missoula, showing up on her days off to welcome them, and even some of you.... made her self available on her off time to help out the new guys-and gals,
watkins shepard is different then most other companies...and one of the major reasons is because everyone gets personal with you, they learn about you and who you are and everything about you... they strive on making you a human, with a name, not a lousy number... and it all begins with recruiting, our front line!!!! Roxy, and Sandy both have worked together and came up with ways to make each new peron feel as welcome as they could... many of you know exactly what i am talking about...as shes done plenty for all... cookin out on weekends for the newbs and the current drivers, on her own time, and her on dime!.
Roxy gave w.s her 2 weeks notice yesterday, ( 3-9 ), and yesterday was her last day at the company.... She will still be doing the same work, and she will still continue to keep up to date on watkins, and this forum...
she told me this mornign shes truely gonna miss working here, and had a blast doing so, and making the choice to leave was very uneasy for her...
Roxy and Sandy worked great together, and to whomever is going to take over what Roxy did has shoes bigger then clowns feet to fill. it wont be easy.. and i wish them luck!!
To anyone looking to contact w.s recruiting, please, make all attemps to reach Sandy, she is just as awesome as Roxy, and will make you feel just as welcomed as Roxy.
understand the w.s recieves many many apps and calls a day, Leave Sandy a voicemail and give her just some time to return ur calls.

Roxy, since i know youll be reading this section of TTR, I am wishing you the very very best of luck on your new jurney, congrats on " bettering yourself ". Your advise, and help to the new guys was always appreciated, and will be greatly missed. wksh loss, their gain!!!, your new job is gaining an *amazing*!!!!!!! addition!

Sandy, if your reading!, prepare to lose your lunch breaks, and any free time while at work, im gonna flood you with people :biggrin_25525::biggrin_2559:
Also, another person to contact is Matt G. in recruiting, Matt is in charge of recruting, so if you can get a hold of Sandy, try contacting him as well, He will help out in every way possiable!!!

    123456, JimDriv3r and kenl3417 Thank this.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear this news, what is happening here all of a sudden? Shirley now Roxy, who else, :biggrin_2558:

Roxy was great at her job:yes2557:, I think the slow down in recruiting made this decision possible, you are EXACTLY right about what she did over and above her job requirements.
Roxy I know you read this so here comes my piece as well, W/S will not be the same without you, I wish you luck as you better yourself, come back and check in on us from time to tme, I know you will, WOW this is tough to handle, Sandy was my official recruiter but Roxy helped in my decision process, Sandy you have your hands full now, I wish you well, if there is anything I can do out here on the highways and by-ways let me know. Roxy stay cool we will be in touch. Thanks TD24

I tried to call Roxy today after a suggestion from a WS driver. I did however get ahold of Matt, was helpful and was no-nonsence which i appreciate...from the sound of it i got into the game a bit too late...

WS couldn't hire me when I was looking for a carrier to start with. I lived too far from a terminal. I did talk to Roxy and Sandy a couple of times though and I had read much of what had been written in WS threads. This is not good news for WS and prospective WS drivers!

Wow, I'm shocked! I'm happy she's moving along to better herself and her family, but I'm sad for WS as they are losing one of their best assets!
Roxy, I know you will be reading this...you will be missed so much! I want to thank you for everything you did for me in my journey with WS, and for everything you've done for the recruits. Take care my friend...

I was one she made feel VERY welcomed as she bent over backwards to help me overcome a couple of hurdles, she'll be missed for sure...

I wish her the best in her new endeavor...
