Yep...Not the Hilton, but I only stay at those when company pays for them too. It's a local American owned hotel. They have a restataunt there that has pretty good southern food as well...You'll like it.

What kind of trucks does USA have? I am probably going to be going to the AR school in a couple months. The one you are in now, is it an auto or manual?
-
Well I buddy of mine that I met in school went to USA this Monday to start company training. Well he did the first full day and then they told him they would have to interview him. So he went and they handed him a bus ticket home. He called another guy he knew today and they sent a few people home. Did that happen to you wrightracing when you went though?
And when he was checking out of the hotel. The lady at the desk said they have 40 -60 coming though and they only keep 20 she see it time after time.. I hope that doesnt happen to me... Just wondering what you seen or heard? -
Out of the group we had there was about 20. There was one guy sent home because he failed his physical. Usually if they send someone home, they probably lied on their app. Not sure but I had a lot of jobs in the past and had to turn in extra stuff because they couldn't get ahold of past employers, but I have been totally honest from the beginning so there is no surprises when they go looking for anything. I have about 4 more days training and I go for my upgrade. As long as your honest and they see you want to work, you should be good. They are getting stricter on who they hire as well. They are trying to improve their fleet to have better drivers.
Dave all trainer trucks are manuals. Right now half their fleet is autos, but they are going back to manuals as they have less maintenance issues with those.
Good luck to both of y'all. -
I see. In my class we had only 4 or 6 USA drivers. The rest were either PAM or CRST. But the next couple classes behind are all USA. So I just wondering how they could possibly give everyone jobs. The turn over rate must be high if they do. I havent lied about anything, dont do drugs so I should have no problem. I am just not looking forward to the 24 hours bus ride... I have an 8 hour layover in Tenn 730pm to 330am... fun fun fun...

No I meant 20 people in orientation...They range between 20-60...
Out of my class thee were only 3 that made it to USA. I went a week before the other 2. One quit and has another job. The other I don't talk to, so idk... -
So you back on the road again? When you complete your training does the trainer drop you off at USA so you can pick up your own truck?
-
Yep back out again, but we're broken-down in Roanoke VA...Should be fixed by Tuesday. They usually try and get you back by there, but one guy from my orientation was in TX and he got put on a bus, because his trainer lived in TX and was taking home time. You just go back to VanBuren for the test though...They may send you anywhere to pick up your truck and first load.
